Torch Leadership Academy Concludes 2025 Program with Closing Ceremony and Nonprofit Expo
Galloway, NJ – July 22, 2025

After four days of connection, reflection, and growth, Torch Leadership Academy will conclude its 2025 summer program today with a Nonprofit Expo and Closing Ceremony at Stockton University.

From 4:15 to 5:15 PM, local organizations including Center for Family Services, Habitat for Humanity, Haddon Township Equity Initiative, and Project Write Now will host tables to engage with students and community members around real-world service opportunities.

At 5:15 PM, the Closing Ceremony will begin in Stockton’s Campus Center. The event will feature student keynote speakers, peer-nominated awards, and reflections from volunteer staff and program leaders.

“This event is more than a ceremony—it’s a celebration of growth and the start of something bigger,” said Caroline Sparacino, TORCH Board Member and educator. “These young people are leaving with a sense of purpose, belonging, and the belief that they can lead change.”

“I learned that leadership isn't just about confidence—it’s about community,” said a participant from Atlantic City High School. “And now I know I have both.”

This year’s volunteer team includes 57 individuals who collectively donated over 2,700 hours to ensure the program’s success. The program was free of charge thanks to the generous support of donors and grantmaking partners such as Atlantic City Electric, the Jon Ben Snow Memorial Trust, WSFS Cares Foundation, Haddon Township Equity Initiative, and many more.
